Brit and Leighton

I know that I have a few engagement couples wanting to see their pictures but I thought I needed to start with this one since they are family by the way! (and I did their pics forever ago) I guess Brittany was maybe 3 when I first started dating her cousin...my now husband. Anyway, talk about people getting all grown up! I could tell some stories. Nothing bad. She was the center of attention every Sunday afternoon when we ate lunch at Wawa's (yes a whole other story). And has slowly turned into an amazing young woman. Brittany will finish up with her speech-path degree in May and then look toward the next phase of her life.
Poor Leighton has had the tough part of the job. Meeting all of the family and the little ones. They put him through the ringer and then some. He takes it like a man. If you can put up with the Alli and John Todd, you can survive the whole family!!
Okay, getting back to the pictures...we froze our tails off on this shoot and I had layers upon layers. They were not so lucky. We did learn several lessons but the most important one was...when you shoot in the cold, bring plenty of kleenex and Starbucks! (we had neither)
Anyway, guys...thanks for being such good sports! Hope you enjoy the peek!

Long time...no blog!

Hey Guys!
I know it has been awhile and I apologize. You guys have had me very busy with other details and I have neglected the whole blog experience. After receiving the e-mails lately, I decided I better get back to business! Anyway, I have several to try to get caught up so remember...patience is a virtue!!

This is Aspyn and Kaleigh. I know you have seen them on my blog before. And it is amazing how much they have grown. We got together for this session to do Kaleigh's 4 yr pics and to get a pic for mom's new purse. Mom and I have such difficulty getting our schedules together that we finally met up a couple of weekend's ago for a quick 30 minute session. The girls did such a great job that we ended up having plenty of time!
Hope you guys enjoy!

Mike and Jessica

I had the great opportunity to shoot this session with a friend and mentor of mine, Mike Kemp. And let me just say, we had the perfect couple to try out some things on. These guys were up for anything and had some ideas of their own. It was alot of fun and I love shooting with someone else and gettng their perspective on things.

Anyway, Miss Jess has been so patient in waiting to get a sneak peek so I hope these are worth the wait!

Having some fun downtown as Mike is teaching me some new lighting techniques. New to me that is!
Loved this location and we certainly didn't have to tell them what to do. This one was with my favorite lighting source...natural!
It really was one of those days where we caught the light just perfect and look at Jessica's eyes...beautiful!
Okay, it was Jessica's idea to go to a cemetary and I was so up for it. I don't know why, but I love cemetaries!! There is such a mixture of peace and tranquility and mystery and apprehension at the same time! Who would have thought there was another cemetary lover in the bunch! So cool!!

Mike and Jessica are big into the Greek life at UCA so we finished up at the Pike house on campus. It really was a great afternoon and you guys were so much fun to spend it with!

Thanks Guys for braving the cold...you can't even tell from the pictures that it was freezing outside!! And thanks Mike K for showing me a thing or to with the remotes. I used this information the very next shoot and now I might become a junkie!
Night all!

I can honeslty say that I could not wait to get my hands on this sweet baby. This is Miss Annabelle Reece. I was so honored to photograph her parents wedding and then maternity and now this little one. This family is so precious to me and I couldn't wait to see her. As you can see, she is just beautiful and looks just like her daddy!

Thanks Miss Annabelle! You and your mommy did such a great job!!

Hope to see you soon!

Avery turns 3!!

I love the opportunity to watch my clients grow. This is Miss Avery and she gets more beautiful every time I see her. She is a big sis this year so I know she enjoyed this session all by herself as it is hard to share the spotlight when you have had it all by yourself!

Happy Birthday Avery!! Hope your day was the best!!

Hope you enjoy the peek. More to come I promise!

Michael Sr 2008

I wanted to try to get caught up on some blogging but am really behind so I will just see how I do. I thought I would share a couple from Michael's Sr session last month. He was such a good sport as I had him in a very different location and we were not quite sure what we were getting ourselves into. Anyway, here are a couple of my favorites!

Thanks for being so patient!

The Divine Miss M...

Talk about a little trooper! This is Miss M and she did such a great job. Before heading out to the studio, we started outside in the cold. She was so good even though she was freezing!! Needless to say, we decided to all come in before one of us got pneumonia. That is when the fun started. I thought I would share a few as the weather kept us from doing her viewing session today!
Hope you enjoy your pics!!

I loved it when she decided to get mom in on the action too!!
Thanks girls!! It was a lot of fun. See you soon!

Baby Isabella

This sweet baby is Isabella Brooke and she was three days old when we took these. She is just gorgeous and I'm not just saying that because she is my new step-niece. I thought I might need to post a few pics as her daddy has been really helping me out this week with our renovations so I think it is the very least I can do. I will have more to follow but at least these might hold the grandparents for a little bit. Hope you enjoy!

Lisa :)

Gee...I wonder what they are all laughing at. Things to never do...never let your niece "try" to teach you a hip dance move after you have had a glass of wine...or two. And never let there be a video camera around to catch you in action. I still haven't actually seen the footage of this. My sister and I were trying to learn the "lock, pop, and drop" or "stop, drop and pop" or something along those lines. Needless to say, I think we had the drop and pop part down...it was the getting up after that we had issues with. Oh it is so sad to get old and even worse when it is caught on tape! Hope you guys enjoyed your laugh!!!

Jen Sr 2008

I love doing Sr sessions and this one was even more fun as this girl is like a member of our family. Jen has been our babysitter since before she could drive, pet sitter, housecleaner and errand runner. You name it and she has always been there to help out. My kids love her... as do we all. I pray she goes to college at UCA or I'm in trouble!
Anyway, she has been so patient for a peek so I thought I would let her take a look at some. So here are a few of my favs....

Jen you did a fabulous job and I still want to get you in the studio with your new sassy haircut!!
More seniors to come!!

Happy 2008!!

Happy New Year!!
Hey Everyone!! I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and a wonderful holiday season. So sorry that I have not blogged and am just now returning phone calls and e-mails as I needed a little time away from work to spend with my family and friends.
I have so much blogging to get caught up on but I thought I would start with this family. They were so much fun and hung in there like troopers. Lake was not really wanting his picture made but he ended up doing such a great job! Their Christmas cards were one of my favorites that I did this season. I will try to post it later. Anyway, I thought I would post a few from their session and I promise to do better when I get back into the swing of things next week!!
Anyway, here is Kristen, Lake and Aunt Jennifer.
We all loved this shot because you can see just a little of mom's hands and red shoe!!

Mom and Aunt Jennifer. These sisters took this shot for their parents for Christmas. They had not gotten pictures with just the two of them in awhile. I thought this was a great idea and now want to get some of me and my sis!

Lake and his mommy!

I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures and I wish everyone a HAPPY 2008!!!

Lisa :)
