Rainbows!

I had the best time today in Batesville with my viewing sessions. I realize how blessed I am to make a living doing something that I love and meeting such amazing people. We ended up having a collaboration of a couple of viewings so it turned into a mini-party. Maybe I need to consider doing more of these as I think we all had a great time. However, I think we were tired when it was all said and done. Anyway, I feel so blessed to have clients that I can truly consider to be friends. Also, a shout out to my wonderful in-laws for allowing me to come raid the cupboards and for Morgan and her cousins for the yummy cookies. Although it was a quick visit home, it was refreshing.

I also got a great opportuity to sell some of the new frames that we are doing at the studio. I can't wait to see the finished product and I will blog some when they are complete.

For those of you who have been keeping up with my blog...and, yes, I know who some of you are, I had a wonderful rainbow day. I have decided that every day is a rainbow day unless we choose to let the clouds block our view. I know that is something that I need to work on myself!

Sorry for the philosophical blog, but somedays it's just my blog....
Night all!
Lisa :)

Sorry for the crazy font changes. (Katie, maybe I need you to work on that too!) lol

Congratulations!!

The Toggery in LR and WLR held their drawing today for an 11x14 gallery wrap and session from my studio. Congratulations to Niki Scott. Call me girl and we will get you scheduled.
Thanks to everyone who participated and thanks to the Toggery stores for a great partnership!!
Guys dont forget to get your outfits ready for next weekend. They have tons of cute stuff and Santa is on his way!!
Be on the lookout for future promotions coming your way very soon!

Baby "E"

As promised, this is Katie's son, aka Baby "E". However, we decided to meet up at the Rivermarket instead of shooting in Batesville. This kiddo gave me a run for all of my money!! When I first met up with these guys, E was asleep and we were not sure how he was going to wake up. As usual, kids are so much more resilient than adults and after a few minutes, he was raring to go.

And GO he did. SO what do you get when you place a toddler on a wall to get his picture made? Three adults holding their breath chasing him alongside the wall. He had no intention of sitting on that wall and it was SO FUNNY to him that he had us right where he wanted us. I am so sure that we were a sight to behold....E thought so anyway.

Our next event was so much fun for everyone as we decided to get on the trolley and what little boy or grown up for that matter doesn't enjoy a first trolley ride. There were times I had to remind myself that I was suppose to be taking pictures as it was so easy to get caught up in his excitement. PRECIOUS!!

Last shot of the day. For me that is. Baby E just kept going and going. He wore me out and showed no signs of crashing. However, I needed a nap!!

Well guys, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and this is the last installment from this Batesville Bunch for now. I will be back to shoot in Batesville on Nov 17th. Just send me an e-mail or call me if you would like to schedule a session.

night all!

Little Miss Sunshine...third installment for the Batesville Bunch!

This is Miss Grace. Her mommy and I got in touch while I was on my way to Batesville to do a shoot. Anyone who knows me knows that I love spur of the moment activities so I was definitely up to adding another session on to my day. However, we forgot to ask the most important person and that was Grace. Long story short, she fell asleep on the five minute drive to our location. You never know how kiddoes are going to respond when you wake them up after a 10 minute nap in a strange place with a camera in their face. Needless to say, she did great and we had so much fun!! And, it was another rainbow moment. I know there are a few people wanting to take a peek before our viewing on Sunday, so here you go....

I absolutely loved her smile in this shot. Although she was a little slow to warm up, her smile says it all. What a cutie!!

Back in the jungle we played. I loved this mischievous grin! "Gotcha" she says.

This is one of those shots that makes you count all of your blessings.

And here is one that melts your heart. I hope you guys enjoyed the peek and I can't wait to show you the rest. Thanks for braving the mosquitoes with me and whatever else was hiding where we couldn't see!

I also have to give a shout out to Ms. Katie for being such a great help during this shoot. She really came through in helping me get those beautiful smiles! You will get to see Katie's son in the next blog!!

Memee's girls...2nd series from the Batesville Bunch!

If any of you guys have been reading my blog lately, this is another one of my rainbow moments...if you are not sure what I am talking about, feel free to scroll down and take a minute to catch up. Anyway, I am almost speechless when it comes to describing these girls. They are so precious to me and I wish I was around more to just play with them. I first started shooting for this family a little by accident. Caroline, the oldest, was just a toddler. I had been driving around the golf course at Eagle Mountain in Batesville when I came across this gorgeous little girl riding around with her daddy. What caught me most was her eyes. Absolutely captivating. Anyway, of course I had my camera with me and took a few pics and the rest is well...history as they say.

This is Caroline. What a beauty. Those big green eyes and dark hair. She is so big and started kindergarten this year.

Then came Miss Scarlett. She is so funny to me. She loves to explore and is very busy. She is independent and so fun to watch and talk to. She has georgous eyes also...however, hers are brown...

Then came Miss Gigi. I have to admit I don't know her as well as the other two as she has always been the baby. She is so sweet and will follow right along with what the big girls are doing. AND if you can see, she has big blue eyes...

These girls are so precious together! ( mom is probably rolling her eyes right now) But they really were sweet. I can't believe how much everyone has grown and it makes me a little misty eyed to compare these pics with the first ones I did!!

Well Mom and Memee, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! I know you were concerned about the time of day but I think they did awesome!! As for why it was a rainbow moment, I think the pictures speak for themselves. I was very blessed to be a part of this day!

Can't wait to see the new little boy...Yes, that is right. Come November the 5th, these sisters will have a new little brother to dote on and Mommy and Memee might have to call in the reserves!! I can't wait to see what color his eyes turn out to be...lol!

okay guys take care and L, get all the rest you can...your days are numbered kiddo!!

Miss Matti!!

This is Matti. I have been privileged enough to do her pictures since she was a sweet little newborn. As you can see, she is absolutely gorgeous. What I love about Matti is all of her expressions. She has always had so many different expressions and she will let you know where you stand. Anyway, I was so glad to catch up with her, her mom and Aunt Pam in Batesville when I was home for a visit. Mom has been so patient in waiting on these so I thought I would let her see a few. Hope you enjoy!

Baby Lexton

Here are some pictures that I have been wanting to post for a few weeks. This is Baby Lexton and as you can see he is a real cutie! He was so bright eyed and we really had a good session. I think he was just 2 weeks old in these pictures. Don't you just love the wrinkles!!

Have a great Sunday!

Race for the Cure and Advanced Physical Therapy

You know they say "when it rains it pours"

Do you know how you have those weeks where basically nothing goes right and you just want it to be over? Well, last week was definitely one of those weeks. I had a wreck in my hubby's truck and, although it was not my fault, it was still a yucky situation. I had been sick and Alli Grace had strep and yada yada yada. I was so glad when Sunday finally rolled around.

Well, this week was just the opposite. Although I didn't find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I sure found a lot of rainbows!! I was honored to be asked to come and shoot Advanced Physical Therapy's grand opening here in Conway. They had asked me to show up early so that I could take some shots of their "Race for the Cure" meeting that was taking place before the ribbon cutting for their business. I didn't realize what an honor that was until I met Carole, their honorary breast cancer survivor. Talk about a neat person. Out of every person in the room, I would have never guessed that she was the one fighting breast cancer. She came in with a smile and was still smiling when I left. I thought I would share a few pics from the day as "Team Carole" heads out tomorrow to pound the pavement!! I know you girls will have a great time and I will be right there with you next year!!
Okay. So there was cake. Really I didn't know about the cake until after I got there. I would have shown up anyhow!! Okay. I have the card somewhere of the girl that made this. I will try to find it and post the info as this was the best cake ever!! And, if you guys will remember, I am sort of a cake connoisseur. You know you get extra bonus points if a cake tastes as good as it looks!! This one pretty much rocked!!
These are the coolest T-shirts that the girls are wearing to the race tomorrow. Too Fun!! I think Ellen said they had 74 people on their team this year. Will that not be an awesome sight. All of them in this t-shirt! I hope you guys win the award for best t-shirt design...and I hope you have one left over...hint hint!
She can have her cake and eat it too! Okay so I made Carole do this...she'll love that I put it up for all to see!!A bracelet given to her by a friend. And the gang from Advanced Physical Therapy Center. These guys are so awesome. Really I have never walked into a place with such a positive atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly. It was a great time and, again, I was really honored to be a part of it.

I hope you guys do well at the race tomorrow and wish I could be there with my camera and my tennis shoes! I also wish you well with your business. I know that you guys are top-notch and your work speaks for itself. Have a great weekend all and I will try to continue with my week of rainbows soon.

Josh and Sarah

I just wanted to post a few pictures from Sarah and Josh's engagement session that we did a few weeks ago. They did a great job and braved the heat and humidity. These guys are so sweet together and I can't wait to do Sarah's bridals in a couple of weeks! Hope you guys enjoy the pictures!

Anxiously Awaiting Baby Dylan

I was so excited to meet this couple as Kelly contacted me early in her pregnancy and, after e-mailing back and forth several times, I feel like I have already known them. They are so sweet together and I know that they will make awesome parents. I am so excited and can't wait to do Dylan's newborn shots which we have decided to do in their beautiful home. Dylan has the cutest nursey and maybe we can even get Hercules, the mighty dog, in a couple as he is going to be very curious.
Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

Greg was such a good sport. However, I am glad I caught him BEFORE the Razorback game on this day!

I love how beautiful Kelly is in this shot. She was georgous in them all but this was one of my favorites!!

Good evening all!

Lisa :)

Hailey

I had so much fun with this little girl. When mom had come for the planning session, she was a little concerned that Hailey would not smile or interact during pictures. Well, she was a little diva. We had a perfect day and, aside from the mosquitoes, we got in a lot of play time. Thanks Hailey for making my afternoon. Here are a few from the day!

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I have a lot of news to share and will try to do it in the next couple of blogs. One is that "the Toggery" in Little Rock and West Little Rock have agreed to partner up and allow me to display some of my images in both of their stores. They are running a special over the next few weeks and you can go in either store and register to win an 11x14 metallic gallery wrap and a session fee with me.

The west LR store is located on Rodney Parham and the LR store is located in the heights. Stop by and register and do some shopping while you are in there. Both of these stores have the cutest outfits which will be perfect for Christmas pictures!!

More news to come on local Conway locations which will also be displaying my work and will also have monthly drawings. More on that later. I promised to not overload you guys with information anymore!

Toodles!!

Lisa :)

ps guys...Santa Sessions are filling up but there are a few more openings. Call to get yours today!!

Santa Claus is coming to town!!!

Hey Guys!!! I am sooo excited!! I think? You guys always ask me what I'm doing for Christmas this year...and I say "Not Santa". Well, guess what....this year Santa is making a special trip to visit my studio!! And you guys know that I would not allow Santa into my place if he was just going to sit in a chair and make your kids cry all day...okay guys kidding on the crying...not really sure we can control that!

But I can promise that this will not be your typical run-of-the-mill mall experience or come sit by the pretty tree and tell Santa what you want experience. Now kids will definitely be able to tell Santa what they want for Christmas and they can sit in Santa's lap if they want to...but that is as far as this Santa and I are going with the traditional shots you might have experienced in the past.

I searched high and low to find the perfect Santa...and you know that there is only one place to find him. As you can see from his pictures, this guy is the real deal. And to make it even more perfect, our main objective for the day is to let your kiddoes visit with Santa in a stress-free environment...and hopefully, I will get a few shots in too!! What's really cool about this Santa, is that he will actually interact with your children...no pets please!!

Okay, So I'm thinking he may not throw all the kids over his shoulder...(Santa is coming up on his busy season and we wouldn't want to put him in traction), but we will try to get some smiles.Santa will also participate in a couple of activites with your child. (please note that this ornament is not included with the session fee but will be available for purchase on that day)

Nope...this is not normal Santa activity.Okay so here are the details!!
Santa is coming to my studio on Saturday November the 3rd.

Sessions will begin at 9:00 and must be scheduled!!
Sessions are "mini" sessions lasting from 15-20 minutes.

Sessions must be paid in full at time of scheduling...no exceptions please!!

There will be no refunds on paid sessions unless I have a confirmed person to fill your time slot. I will try to be as flexible as I can but we will be on a very tight schedule that day.

Session fees are as follows:

$50 due at time session is scheduled.
(please note that this session fee cannot be combined with any other offer)

$25 goes to feed the reindeer
$25 goes towards your order

I will be offering packages for that day only, Christmas cards and 5X5 storybooks. I will provide more on that as soon as I can.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER:
1) Please do not be late. We can't change our schedule and your session fee will not be refunded.
2) Sessions will last 15-20 minutes. Time will be determined by me or Santa. We will try to be fair to everyone so please trust us.
3) Sessions are not limited by number of children. We will do all we can in the time allowed.
4) Please do not bring anyone who is not going to be in the picture. I have a small studio and it will be a little chaotic that day. We will have Santa, Mrs. Claus and myself to help with the kiddoes so please leave any spectators at home. AND honestly, the kids do much better without an audience. I will be having an OPEN HOUSE the next weekend for anyone who wants to stop by and visit. (MORE ON THAT LATER TOO!!)
5) Please no pets!
6) We will only be using the black background.
7) PLEASE CALL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS!!

CALL TODAY SO I CAN PUT YOU ON SANTA'S LIST!!
501.733.6211
thanks!
Lisa
