A long winter's nap....

I really debated posting this one as my hubby will have a fit when he sees it...but I could not resist. After several nights of very limited sleep, I decided to take a nap the other morning and this is what I woke up to... Who would have thought?

How cute is this? I was so surprised...first of all Scout is not allowed on the furniture...King Louie is not either but he pretty much does his own thing (as cats do). Secondly, Scout's favorite activity is to terriorize the cat so really who would have thought???

In case I don't get to post anymore before Christmas, I hope everyone has a wonderful blessed Christmas with their family and friends. You guys are so awesome and I am very thankful to have each and every one of you as friends and clients!

Peace,

Lisa :)

Matthew and Josh

One of the things that I love about this job is getting to watch kiddoes grow up. I can't remember how old these guys were when I first photographed them. I know that the youngest was just a baby and had that red hair and blue eyes. I think that is the first thing I asked mom when she called to schedule. Does Josh still have that red hair? And Matthew had the best session that we have had together. In the past, he pretty much just tolerated me and he was so glad when it was over. This year, we really got some personality and I think we all had a great time. I took these the day before Thanksgiving when it was still 80 degrees outside. Who knew the next day would be 30!! Anyway, mom has waited so patiently to see them so here are a few of my favs!

Hope you enjoy!!

The Crockett Family

I was a little, (just a little), reluctant to do this session as they needed it done at 8 in the morning. Not only am i NOT a morning person...I hate to be cold. Anyway, we ended up having a great time despite the dew on the ground, the cold temp and the time of day....which turned out to be perfect! I thought I would share a few pics from the day as this family is spread out across the country.

Mom and all of her girls!

The sisters. Look at all of the dew on the grass.

The very cold grass that I ended up laying down on to get this shot! The things we do!! I loved this family shot. I think it was my favorite.
The really funny thing is that after we got finished with the shot, Winston got stuck in the tree!!

This is Granddad and Brenden!

This is one of the shots I got as I later turned my camera around to see what Brenden was laughing at!

Thanks guys! It was a lot of fun! Hope you enjoy your pics!

The Dog Gone shoot!

One wild and crazy shoot! Okay, just kidding guys but we had a lot of little details to keep up with during this session. One was I was late! (was not my fault but that is a whole other kiddo story and I don't want to totally embarrass my child publicly so enough said). So back to my story. I was late, which normally is not that big of a deal except that I'm learning that the fall afternoon sunshine doesn't linger much like it does in the summer. So lateness gave me some time issues.
#2 well, it was Drake. Drake had me laughing and his owner...well...not so happy some of the time. Drake is the black lab and he is adorable...and still alot of puppy. Considering the activity around where we were shooting, it was very distracting for Drake. I'll make a mental note when shooting there again with animals...kiddoes etc.
#3 Was Lillie... the little white dog. Now don't get me wrong, Lillie was not distracted at all. Lillie was out and out bored with the whole situation. The challenge was for me to get both dogs to look at me at the same time and keep my mind on what I was doing. I learned that if I made different obnoxious noises, they would both look at me and my humans would laugh. The problem was that the dogs got bored very easy with one noise and I had to keep coming up with new noises. It was very intresting. Thank goodness no one had a video camera.
Anyway, here are a few favs from the day to further confuse mom in her decision making process!
I loved this one of Lacy and Garrett. AND both of the dogs are looking!

Mom loved this one of Garrett and Drake. We could not figure out if he was petting the dog or scolding him. Drake seems pretty happy regardless.

And here is Lacy. No words needed for this one. Beautiful...

The whole family. I tried to make this picture larger for the blog but couldn't figure out how to do it, I'll put it on my list of things to do for January.

Anyway guys, I hope you enjoyed the pics! Thanks for being such good sports. Ya'll did great!!

Night all!
Lisa :)

and babies make 4!

I was so excited to get to see this family again as they had grown by two. I had done big sisters pictures when she was 3 months old and now we are doing her 3 year! And making their debut for their 3 month sessions are William and Ann Katherine. These guys were so precious and kept us on our toes. Mom and Dad have this twin thing down to a science...or at least made it look like they did! I wanted to post the babies collages as we had done one for Olivia at the same age. How sweet!!
Here is William.
And here is Ann Katherine

I loved this shot as Olivia is being such a big girl. It is so hard to be the big sis and get your pictures made with one newborn...but throw 2 in the mix. William has given up on us and gone to sleep and Ann Katherine has just stopped crying so her eyes are red. And mom and dad don't even look tired!

Okay. I had to post these as mom and dad are having trouble deciding on which shot to use for Olivia's 3 year portrait. SO feel free to give your opinion if you want! I'm keeping silent on this one!

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the pics.
Thanks for stopping by!
Lisa :)

Emma and Owen

I thought I would share a few pics of Emma and Owen that I did recently. I say recently meaning sometime in the last couple of months. I am so behind on blogging and I now realize there is no catching up. I will just get to put a few up here and there and hope that will be enough for now. I did Owen's newborn pictures and his six month and he has changed so much. He went from no hair to the locks you see right now. And Emma, so sweet and beautiful, has already gotten her braces off. And right now she and her mom are at Hannah Montana!
I guess I could go into the spill to say that we desperately tried to get tickets...but now I guess it is good that we didn't as both of my kiddoes are sick and I would have had to go without them! JK!!
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the pictures!! and the concert!!
Lisa :)
