Amanda

I was so excited to get to go and do Amanda's maternity pictures recently. We decided to meet up at her house so we could shoot in the baby's nursery and then do some shots outside to take advantage of some georgous scenery. Jake and Amanda's wedding was the second wedding that I have had the honor of shooting so I feel like I have know these guys forever.

Here is one of my favorites with Amanda sitting by the babies crib. We had some absolutely wonderful afternoon light which added to Amanda's natural glow. So many photographers prefer morning light but I think evening light will always be my favorite!

Here is Amanda sitting in the rocking chair. What a beautiful mom to be!

Okay, I had to have the cowboy hat and boots with this scenery. We had too much fun!

Here is the soon to be mommy and daddy! Jake was such a good sport as always. I can't wait to do this shot again in a couple of years with sweet Miss Annabelle Reece in the middle...kind of like she was this day!

Hope you like the peek guys! I can't wait to meet her!

love ya!

Go Pioneers!!!

Yesterday the girls and I had the great fun of going out to Hendrix and watching my neice and nephew and their teammates run in a cross country meet. First and foremost let me say that I AM NOT a sports photographer and have A LOT to learn in that area. I also still have alot to learn about my new camera. With all of that being said, we had a great day. It was sooo hot and I couldn't believe how well these guys (and gals) were doing with the heat. It was all I could do to try to keep up with them just running from one area to another.
Anyway, here are a few pics from the day!!

Here is Tyler. He is probably at the mid-point of the race right here.

This is Jake in the background of this shot. I didn't get his time...did I mention that this is my first meet? Blonde with a camera...dangerous thing!
Here is Tyler crossing the finish line. I love how he is looking over at the clock to check his time. He ran in 22:08 which is a personal best. Great Job Tyler!!
Here are the rest of Tyler's teammates. I didn't do so well as photographer yesterday as I think I tried to wear too many hats!! I think I have a couple of other pictures of one or two of these guys running. Hopefully, next time I will have a better idea of what to expect and try not to visit and take pictures and worry about the kiddoes and the dog.........

Here is Logan and a few of her teammates during the race. I can't imagine trying to run on a course that you haven't ran before...actually I can't imagine trying to run period! Anyway, these girls were awesome today. You'll see what I mean in a minute.

This is Natalie. She was first to cross the finish line. She had her A game going today!

This is Logan and her teammate Mollie. These guys were battling it out for second and third. We are talking neck and neck right up until the last few seconds of the race. You can see where Logan really pushes to get the lead and there you have it...second and third...This is Lacey. She came in fourth....This is Shelby. She came in fifth....If you guys have been paying attention, you might have caught on to how these girls totally swept the race with all five finishes!! Awesome!! My sister tells me that is a perfect score...Not to be out done, here is Sarah battling out to the finish line...And Haley....and Samantha!!I was so proud of all of these kiddoes and it was truly an inspiration to watch. Here is Logan smiling after the race. She has a reason too. She did a great job they all did! made me want to cry and they were not even my babies!!

As you can see, it was an exciting day for everyone. I loved it and hope to go again. Maybe next time I will be better prepared and have my photographer hat on! Anyway guys...AWESOME JOB!!! You guys deserve a day off from practice.

I think we were all inspired as my oldest, Morgan wants to run more now and my sis and I have made a pact to run the St. Jude 5K in dec. Maybe if I type it for all to see I'll have to follow through with it.

Night all! have a great week!!!

Ella and Owen

Once again, better late than never. Seems that is my new theme song these days. This is my godchild Owen and his big sis, Ella. These guys are so precious to me. I was so excited, and Rene was probably more excited, that we finally got our schedules together to get Owen's first year pictures. I thought I would post a few of my favorites.

Hope you guys enjoy the pictures!!

Justin and Sarah

Better late than never. In July, Christy and I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Justin and Sarah at New Life Church here in Conway. They had one elaborate affair with one wedding and two receptions. The colors and details in this wedding were absolutely amazing. It was a lot of fun for everyone. Here are a few of my favorites from the wedding day.

This bible was a wedding gift from Justin. A keepsake to pass on to their own children someday.

Here are the girls helping with the garter. A standing tradition. Go Hogs!!

Here are the little ones preparing for their debut! They are precious!!!

And the guys being...well..guys! They were a lot of fun!!

I loved these pictures of Sarah and her dad. Here they are watching the video prior to the wedding.

Moments before walking down the isle.

Mr and Mrs Kimbrow!

The georgous cake. Did I mention that the details in this wedding were tremendous. And believe me it tasted as good as it looked!

Sarah and Justin leaving the church. How fun!!

I hope everyone enjoys the pics. Have a great day!

A note about Blogs!

I started blogging to have a better way to communicate with my clients on upcoming events and to give everyone sneak peeks at sessions and give newcomers a better view of recent sessions and experience a little bit of my personality as well. With that being said, this is just a blog and, as much as I would love to, I can't get pictures up from every session. This is just not possible due to time constraints.

There is no rhyme or reason on "how", "who", "when" sessions get put up or "if"they do. I do not like one client over another or think one kid is cuter than another...all of my kiddoes are cute. I have favorite shots from all of my sessions and events. I would love to post them all. Sometimes I think...Gee i haven't posted anything in awhile...and then I will try to post. Or I will get an e-mail from someone telling me they are getting bored and to please put up something new. I will also try to get a post up if I have a family that has come from out of the area...usually out of state or have relatives out of the area as well. I really do try to accommodate everyone...but even this does not happen.

As we have family and friends out of town, I also try to post things that have to do with what is going on with my girls and is totally not business related. A blog is not a way to view proofs, just a peek at what is going on in my world.

From this, I guess you can tell that I have had a complaint about sessions or events not getting blogged. I hope I have explained things and I hope that everyone will continue to enjoy this for what it is. I hope everyone has a great night.

Locks of Love

Alli Grace was so excited to get a new haircut. She has talked about donating her hair to Locks of Love for about a year now. However, I was very reluctant to let her get it cut because I loved her hair...hated brushing it..but loved it...as did her daddy. And, for those of you out there who have kiddoes, it's very hard to let your youngest get their curls cut off because then they look like a big girl! (or boy...hint hint..CH)
Anyway, she decided it was her hair and I had to agree. A seven year old already exerting her rights!! So Monday was the big day and she hopped up and told Ms. Heather exactly what she wanted and that is exactly what she got. She was so excited that she had enough to donate to Locks of Love and I was very proud of her for doing so.
Ms. Heather cut 10 inches off and, as you can see, it is precious. She loves it because she can fix it herself and, I have to say, it has saved us tons of time and stress in the mornings. Dad wasn't so sure that we needed to cut off that much at one time but he survived. Anyway, all of the family wanted to see her new "do". They have been wanting to get it cut too since they have to help her care for it when she visits.

Morgan said "Hey, I got my hair cut too!! Let me in the picture!" Morgan is at that stage where she is so funny...most of the time anyways!!

So here are my growing up girls...time sure flys by.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Mark and Olga

This is part 1 of a post. I promised Olga I would get a few pictures up from her wedding and that is what I am doing. However, I still have not gone through them all so I'm kind of picking these on the fly. I promise to post more as soon as I can!

Anyway, here is the wedding day of Mark and Olga. Christy and I have had such fun working with this couple. Their day was just perfect as any wedding day should be and it was awesome to be a part of it. It was a day full of happiness and joy and laughter. I had so many shots of people smiling and laughing. Truly a day of celebration!!

Anyway, I promise to get more pics up. Hope this will hold you for a day or two...

I loved this part of the day. These guys and gals were such troopers to go out in the heat with us. The formal part of the day was over and now it was time to just have fun!

Frederick gets a full Honor Guard reception! These little guys tried to steal the show and almost did. There are so many precious shots of the kiddoes that I had trouble choosing.
Olga getting ready. She was so calm.
Okay...I know these are totally out of order but a promise is a promise! I'll try to fix them up a little later! Hope you enjoy the peek.
g'night all!

Our Newest Addition!!

As a family, this was our new addition over the weekend. His name is "Scout" and he is adorable as you can see. His hair color is so dark that I had trouble getting a good pic of him where you could actually see some facial features. He is a Golden Doodle. That means that his mother was a golden retriever and his daddy was a standard poodle. This dog is being bred for people with allergies and is suppose to not shed! We have always been golden retriever people so we were excited by this little guy. These guys are usually kind of hard to find so we were so excited to find him in Russellville. They had a bunch more if anyone is intrested and I would have taken them all. What cuties! Anyone who knows me knows that I am a puppy push-over. So when you have my little girls begging for a puppy and then this little guy looking at me so sweet...what were we to do????

Okay. So not everyone in the family was totally agreeable to this idea. This is "King Louie". We adopted him from the shelter last year and he is not quite sure what to think of Scout but he thinks he pretty much does not like him...at all!!

This is Louie's whole opinion on the matter!! Actually he is yawning but i thought it was a pretty accurate way to sum up the situation! As you can see, the girls absolutely LOVE him....I do too. And they have actually been pretty good about helping to take him out...even in the rain!

So far this is one of Scout's favorite activities...besides barking at the cat. He loves to play with the door stop. He bats at it for minutes on end. It is hilarious!!

This is Alli Grace waiting for me to get done taking pictures. Okay. As one of my new activities...because i have nothing better to do with my "spare time", I have been scanning some of my favorite older photographs. This is Alli Grace, she is probably about 14 months in this picture. I probably should not have put it in black and white so you could see those blue eyes but I loved the contrast and those curls!

And this is Morgan...she was right at a year old in this picture. I still can't believe how much hair those babies had and still do. This is one of my all time favs of Morgan. Pig tails all askew, one sock on and one sock off. Being mischievous...let me tell all of you guys out there who have little ones...literally you blink and they are not babies anymore. We are at a fun stage in life but I'm amazed at how time has flown!

I've been scanning pictures, uncopyrighted of course!!!, and getting them framed. As most of you know, I am now offering framing to my clients and a lot of you are taking advantage of this service. I hope to offer a larger selection in the future.

I also have some more exciting news to share but I know I've already said too much tonight. I will tell more of that later! Thanks to all who have been bringing care packages to our soldiers for the Sept promotion!! Hope to have some pics up from Olga's wedding soon. I know that you are anxious!

See you next time!

Lisa ;)
