My girls!

I often get asked if my children get tired of getting their picture made. In all honesty, they rarely get to be in front of the camera. And usually when I take their picture, I am only going after 1 or 2 shots and do not do a full session. Well today I thought they deserved their own shoot. These shots are an example of my new "Urban" sessions that I hope to be doing a lot more of.

Well I was a little tired from doing a wedding with Christy this afternoon and, hence, a little grumpy. As any photographer knows, the hardest subjects are your own children. I had an idea of what I wanted and they were trying so hard and it took them a while to get comfortable in front of the camera. They were such troopers and I was very pleased with how the pics came out. I wish I could post them all. Anyway, here are a few of my favs!! I am going to have such a hard time trying to decide what I am going to order and where I am going to put them. Now I know how you guys feel! i do think I will get a couple of the new metallic gallery wraps that are so awesome. I have had several of you guys wanting to see them so that will be a great excuse!

Hope you guys enjoyed the pictures! Have a great weekend and I plan to have a few up from yesterday's wedding soon!

Macey!

This cutie pie is Macey! She is 7 months old and she gave mom and me a run for our money. Macey was sooo serious on this day and we tried EVERYTHING to get her to smile. It wasn't that she was unhappy, she was just checking things out. Needless to say, we did get a few grins and some absolutely adorable pics so I thought I would share a few.

She is so precious! The next time I see her, she'll probably be all smiles!

Have a great day!

Abby and Leah

It is so much fun to be able to see people grow over the years. It is also a huge compliment that my clients come back to me and allow me to experience this. I shot this family in the summer of 2004 and I was so excited when they asked me to do another session for them a few weeks ago.

As you can see, they have the most beautiful girls! I had several favorites and mom and dad had such a hard time choosing. Anyway, I was so impressed with this family. You can really tell that they are close and have a lot of fun together. Time flies and kiddoes grow up way too soon!

here are a few favs from the afternoon....

Julie

Yesterday was one of those days where work was wayyy too much fun to be work. I met up with Julie, Julie's mom, and one of Julie's best friends, Amanda, to shoot Julie's bridals. One of the neat things about it was that I had met them back in 2005 when I got to shoot Amanda's wedding. I was also excited to learn that Amanda was expecting her first child in November. Can't wait to do those maternity pictures!!

Anyway, I was very honored when Julie asked me to shoot her bridals, engagements and reception pics...notice I didn't say wedding...hmmm...something about Hawaii...
jk julie :)
Anyway, to get back to my story, we had the best locations and the best weather and overall, just a great day. Amanda and Julies mom were so helpful with the reflector regardless of what kind of precarious positions we got ourselves in. As of this moment, Julie and I were the only ones with minor injuries. Julie had a sore neck today from just different positions she was in and my bum is a little sore and bruised from slipping off the rocks that I was standing on. Camera was safe and sound and that is always the priority. I'm sure that we were a sight to behold! What we do to get the shots....here are a few of my favs!
Julie wanted to do a shot with Lauray's in the picture as that is where Andrew purchased her ring and this store has a long history with Julie's family.
I just had to get one shot of Amanda. She was such a trooper all day even though I think we wore her out. You can't even tell that she is expecting! She looks great.

Well, as you can see, Julie makes an absolutely georgous bride and I feel blessed to have been a part of such a fun and special day. Also I want to say thanks for the cold water that Julie's mom was gracious enough to have thought of beforehand and for the great dinner that we had afterward. You guys are great and made me feel like part of the family!!

Can't wait to meet up with you guys on Friday for the engagement shots!!

Thanks!

Franklin and Tracy

Recently I spent the afternoon with Tracy and Franklin for their engagement pictures. We had already had to reschedule due to thunderstorms and, needless to say, rain threatened again. We actually had a few drops on us as we shot but we were determined to get these done! Anyway, they were such a sweet couple and we had a lot of fun. We ended up at Mike's place downtown...maybe we should have started there....hmmm...

Okay guys, your comments are more than welcome! Everyone keeps e-mailing me to tell me they really like the blog but no one leaves any comments??? Please don't be shy. I'm thinking about a strike...except this is a huge stress reliever for me! :)

Hope everyone has a great day as the clock tells me it is a new day. Yikes...have to get to bed!

Congratulations Erin and Matt!!

Weddings are so much fun! Here are few of my favs from Erin and Matt's wedding that Christy and I were so blessed to be a part of. We had so much fun and the guys were an absolute riot all day. We truly had a great day of laughter, love and delicious wedding cake! I thought I would share a few pics as I am getting ready to hand these over to Christy for Erin's book!

Few favs from recent sessions

Well, I am so busted...not really but have that mommy guilt thing going on. I posted pics from my youngest daughter's game the other night and still have not posted from my oldest!! My excuse is that I have been battling a migraine all week and I'm now more behind than usual. Lucky for me, she doesn't know about this blog thing yet...but my mommy radar is going off BIGTIME.

Anyway, I thought I would post a few pics from a couple of sessions from a few weeks ago...yes, I am behind again...and hopefully, I will get some posted of Morgan's game also!

Anyway, this is a sneak peek at the Caldwell children. They are absolutely georgous kiddoes and so well mannered. We had a lot of fun and I can't wait to see them again! Hope you guys enjoy your pics!!

This is Isaac. I know I don't have to say how cute he is because you can see it. He has the most georgous eyelashes!! He was nine months old when we took these pics and is expecting a new baby brother in August!! Can't wait to see if baby brother looks like this little guy! I know mom and dad will not lack finding baby sitters if needed. This guy was so happy. I couldn't get one serious look out of him! Can't wait to see him tomorrow when they come for his viewing!!

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy.....
