Kids are Funny that way!!

Okay, I'm late putting these two girls up and I know that mom is very ready for a sneak peak! I have photographed these girls several times over the last few years and I " thought" I had this down to a science!! However, that is the beauty of shooting kiddoes...something about "mind of their own"...where does that come from anyway????

SO mom and I had talked...we knew what we wanted...had a plan of attack...and a bribe of ice cream...easy peezy as my kids would say!!!! Hmmmm.....

Okay, Aspyn just turned 8 and has these really cool new braces. Only she can pull off red better than the Razorbacks! Aspyn, being the experienced trooper, knew what mom wanted, cover me I'm going in, did her job, got out...botta boom botta bing...off to the playroom.....

Now, here is Miss Kaleigh! To give you guys some inside information...when she was 2 I did a collage for her that spelled out "Miss Priss" on the bottom... Too Cute! Okay, I don't let that distract me from my current duty.

She knows what we want.....she thinks about it......

She's really getting tired of this...take the picture already...everyone else is in the playroom!! "Just one more" has totally lost it's luster!! And She obviously doesn't care if there is even ice cream on the planet right now!

Wonder who won the battle ???..... the LOOK says it all!!!

Like I said...I love shooting kids. No matter how organized your attack is...they are SMARTER THAN YOU!!!!

Just kidding guys!! We had a blast this session and got some georgous pics!! Yes we had bribes and yes we paid up...but it was well worth it!!

Beautiful Day, Beautiful Bride, Beautiful Sunset!

Christy and I went to south Arkansas yesterday to shoot Jen's bridals. We had an absolutely great day and a georgous location. I want to say a big "thank you" to Jen and her mom for tromping through the cow pastures with us. I think it was well worth it! Here are a few of my favs!!!
And here is a shot of Christy doing her thing! It is so much fun to shoot with someone who thinks along the same lines as you do...scary probably that we think alike...but makes work easier and more enjoyable!!

Owen~6 months!

There is a very patient mom out there who has been waiting for a sneak peek at her baby. This is Owen. I did his newborn pics a few months back and my how he's grown! He has the most georgous eyes!! Anyway, Nancy has been SOOOO patient in waiting to see them and I could not manage to get them off of the disc I used. Just as I was going to get help...yes...there is only so much I can do before I totally lose patience..., they loaded themselves right up and now I have them where I want them!

Anyhoo, here is a couple of my favorites. 6 month old babies will usually smile so easily...Owen, however, made us work hard. The cat, King Louie, finally did the trick! We got some sweet grins. How precious!

I could not resist this one. King Louie just nonchalantly enters the picture. Cats are so like that!

Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics and I hope all have a great weekend. I've told myself no more blogging until I get some proofs done. You guys might send in the calvary if you don't hear from me for a couple of months!

Ella!!

Okay I had to post these. This is Ella Hollingshead, my friend Christy's little girl. We all went out one day to enjoy the beautiful weather and play around with our cameras and got some great shots and had a lot of fun in the process. I wanted to post a few as I LOVE these. She is a such a little diva!

Jen and Danny

Christy and I spent the afternoon in Little Rock with Jen and Danny shooting their engagement pictures. They were such good sports. We had a blast and even had Danny laughing in some! Here are a few from the afternoon...

A little Behind!

Sorry guys. I know that I have been a little behind on posting any new pics. I kinda lost a week with last week's seminar and am feeling the crunch now. I am going to post a few pics from my last sessions. If you don't see yours up there. Don't panic. I just haven't gotten to peek at yours yet.

First... is the Brown children.. What do you get with a 4 year old, a newborn and a 1 year old in Easter outfits...hmm well...a lot of running around and laughs at little sister's expense. I'm posting one of my favorite pics from the session. You will see why...it won't be mom's favorite but it sure sums up life for her right now...busy busy busy.

Now is for Michelle and Maura Kate. We were taking a few pictures of mom as she is expecting little sis in May and doing some pics of Maura Kate for her three year old milestone. My how time flies and babies grow up so quick.

Now here is Mr. Reed. Let's just say that I did his older brother at his one year and we were trying to capture the same kind of pics. It's funny how kiddoes have a mind of their own. I don't think we ever caught the same but we sure got his personality and that is what matters the most. here is one of my favs...it's obvious why...what a sweetie!

Here is an absolute doll. This is Miss Ella Grace in her Christening gown. She is just beautiful with those big brown eyes.

I wanted to post at least one more as Daddy is serving our country in Iraq and I know he misses this little girl and his whole family terribly!! Please remember to keep all of our soldiers and their families in your prayers.I mean, look at those big brown eyes...couldn't you just eat her up!!! Precious!!

Okay, just a couple more...Here is baby Kyle...i got the pleasure of shooting him when he was just 4 weeks old. He was so tiny and so sweet. He pretty much slept through the whole thing.

Last, for now, but not least is Mr. Ellis. He is such a big boy. I did his pics last year and was amazed at how much he had grown. He fell in love with my Alli Grace and was very upset when it was time to go home :( I loved this pic as it shows just how sweet he is!!Well, sorry this one was so long...but I hope I made some Mommies happy. I still have a few more to post but that will have to wait for another day.

We're Back!!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we have arrived safely back on Arkansas soil! Thank Goodness! Christy and I were exhausted from a crazy day of traveling and a little nauseous from the rough plane rides. Needless to say, we made it but our luggage didn't!
Anyhoo, the conference was AWESOME!!! I cannot say enough about Jeffery and Julia Woods. They are the most awesome couple...awesome photographers, awesome parents and just overall incredible people. Honestly, there are really no words to describe how incredible they are and how much I learned while I was there. We met a great group of fellow photographers while we were there so I know we have made some great friends for life! Hopefully I will be applying what I've learned while I was away so you guys will probably start seeing some changes with my business....
Anyway, I will try to get some new pics up as soon as I can. Have to take care of a little housekeeping business from when I was away.

Grand Plans

Okay...Once again. I had great plans to get some more pics up before we left; however, it is 11:30pm and I have not packed at all. Christy Hollingshead, my partner in crime, and I are headed to Illinois for a photography seminar in the am. As usual, I'm not ready!!

So you guys will just have to wait and I'll try to get some more pics up as soon as I can. I am very excited about going but a little anxious about leaving the family behind. :( My girls are already curled up in bed and I would love to go cuddle with them...but of course...I still have to pack!

And the time changes at 12:00...like I have time to lose an hour today!!!

Okay...hmmm...well it seems I have a little bit to learn. Hopefully no one will really notice that i typed in photography wrong for my url address...(it says photogrphay) this will only be REALLY funny to the people who know me well...( HUSH CHRISTY!!! )seems that I can't change it now...

Okay...once you stop belly laughing...I know that I also need to learn to make my images larger and be a little more organized...hmmm...but it could have been worse...

One semi-successful blog.....

First Post...Do I really have time for this????

Okay Guys....here goes. I have waited to do a blog because I know how bad I am with keeping up with things but I wanted a better way to communicate with you guys...so we will see if this helps!
I have to say that since I have gotten back into the full swing of things I have so enjoyed it and remembered all of the reasons why I love doing photography!
Since this is new to me...this will be short and sweet so I can see if I can even do this.

I do want to post a couple of pics to let you guys know what I have been doing over the last days.

This is Mr. Noah. He has been a real sly guy the last couple of times that I saw him so I was really happy to get this shot of him with my hat!

This is Miss Allie. She is 6 months old and sitting pretty. Big brother Noah will have his hands full very soon!!!

And this new cousin is Miss Anna Klaire. She is a beauty!! And by looking at mom, I'm sure you can see why. She was sooo tiny and I loved every minute of her being here. Just sorry that I forgot to tell mom to bring extra clothes for herself!!! Great shots at the expense of designer jeans! Oh well...it was worth it!!

Okay guys...that is all for now. I'm going to see what I've created with this new blog thing!!!
